Wise Jennings

Band Name:  Wise Jennings

Members: Jeff and Melissa Weishaar

Genre: Americana/Roots Rock

Description:  Wise Jennings in an original band  from Lake Geneva, WI that features husband and wife duo Jeff and Melissa Weishaar.  They write and perform a style of Americana Music with a Roots Rock blend at bars, coffee houses, city festivals and private parties. Melissa plays a scaled down acoustic drum set, sings, and plays harmonica.  Jeff plays mostly on his semi-hollow body electric and some on an acoustic.   Their performances rock with a stripped down sound and an intriguing vibe you can only get from watching a husband and wife perform.  One hour ago they were arguing about the kids homework and now they are having a blast performing the music they have created together.  The lyrical themes of the songs are at times dark  with a cloak of musical styling that belies the lyric…like a tarantula hiding in cotton candy.   They write about the human experience...simplicity, complication, beauty, stupidity, regret, levity. As artists they hit the mark, celebrate, miss the mark, lament, write and perform more... and repeat...Oh...and never take themselves too seriously.  Wise Jennings' debut EP, The Year Mama Tried, was released in August, 2017.  Their first full length album is expected in early, 2018.
