Themed open mic “Train Songs”

As a metaphor for life, trains can move forward at full speed, veer off the tracks or become full-on wrecks -- so it's no wonder there are so many songs that invoke life on the rails. What better way to celebrate trains and life than to sing about them with an evening of train songs at the Coffeehouse at Chestnut and Pine. We plan to “hear that train a-coming” on February 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:30 (we will be prompt as this trains will run on time).
Send an email to our conductor, Jeff Peterson at:     petersj12@icloud.com and he will get you “all a board” for a night of music.  Each musician should send Jeff two to three songs they want to sing. Jeff will put the songs together and depending on how many folks sign up to ride the rails that night let you know how many songs to sing and about when you will be playing.  Get your songs to Jeff by January 27, 2019. Jeff will try to engineer it so we get as few repeats as possible.  It is best if we don’t all sing Folsom Prison Blues!  You will get a return email with the lineup for the night.
It has been a long time since we had a night of music with a theme.  So “hop on board” and ride on over to the Coffeehouse at Chestnut and Pine and enjoy a night of train songs.
