Mackenzie O'Brien is a quickly emerging solo artist from the northern Illinois / southern Wisconsin area.  In less than 8 months Mackenzie went from playing open mic.s to performing at over 30 venues including venues in downtown Austin, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee.  Mackenzie brings an honesty and innocence to her music and covers songs from artists as far ranging as Gregory Alan Isakov, Shakey Graves, Hozier, Kacey Musgraves, and First Aid Kit.  Mackenzie brings her own interpretations to the covers she performs and is recently discovering herself as a song writer.  Her voice has been compared to Ruth B, Colbie Caillat, and Eva Cassidy by attenders at recent shows.  She is excited to be one of the featured performers at Madison Wisconsin's Chick Singer Night in March of 2017.  She is also exploring possible national projects at this time.
